UN Tourism hosted two forums at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan

At EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan, the UN Tourism hosted two official forums. The ‘Celebrating Female Founders Forum’, held on 28 April, was dedicated to highlighting female-led innovation, promoting inclusion in tourism technology and emphasizing the importance of mentorship networks. The other, the ‘Global Tourism Investment Forum: Co-creating Culture for the Future’, which took place on 29 April, focused on key investment trends in tourism and strategies for achieving sustainable, community-centered growth.

Regional Support Office for Asia and the Pacific (RSOAP) recruited student volunteers from affiliate member universities in the Kansai region to assist with two events. A total of 27 students from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, Kobe University, and Wakayama University helped organize the events and received a letter of appreciation from the UN Tourism Secretariat.
