UNWTO welcomes five new signatories to the Private Sector Commitment to the UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism. The ceremony was witnessed by Ms. Zoritsa Urosevic Executive Director of UNWTO, Mr. Harry Hwang Director of UNWTO Regional Department of Asia and the Pacific, Mr. Ryusho Kato Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Japan MLITT), and Mr. Yoshiaki Hompo Chief of UNWTO Regional Support Office for Asia and the Pacific on October 26, 2023, during the Tourism Expo Japan (TEJ) in INTEX Osaka.
With their signatures, these companies pledge to three actions:
1. To observe the principles of the Code
2. To promote the Code among their own circles and;
3. To report on what their association or company has done to implement the Code’s principles.
The five entities who signed the Private Sector Commitment are — Discover Walks LLC, Kitahara Corporation (Ryokan Kohro), Kohaku Inc., RIDAS Corporation and Spirit of Japan Travel.
