7th UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism Side event (Dec 12)

The 7th UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism will be held from Monday, December 12 to Thursday, December 15, 2022 (4 days).  

Within the context of the Forum, the UNWTO Regional Support Office for Asia and the Pacific, together with the Japan Tourism Agency and APTEC will host a side event on The Case of Japan: Gastronomy Tourism × Sustainable Tourism × Culture on 12th December 2022, in collaboration with UNWTO. This side event will aim to introduce the initiatives and best practices of gastronomy tourism throughout Japan, especially those that have transformed gastronomy tourism into a sustainable tourism destination management or new tourism attractions, in order to contribute to a better recovery through the further development of gastronomy tourism.

With the above in mind, the event will focus on the existing and opportunity for further interlinkages between gastronomy tourism, sustainability and culture.

This side event is free of charge and open to all domestic and international participants. The event will be conducted in Japanese; English simultaneous translation will be provided to international participants.   Please see below further practical information for the event:
